Plead Not Guilty and Request a Court Hearing

Appear in Court

All defendants have the right to appear in Court.  Your Court Appearance Date will be clearly stated in the letter mailed to the address on the citation, usually within 10 business days of the citation date, along with options to make appearance before the Court Appearance Date.  Court is  held only one time per month at  4:00 p.m. on the first Monday of the month, with exception of holidays, special circumstances, or events. A phone call is not considered an appearance.

Attorney Representation

You have the right to hire an attorney to represent you at your own expense. Once your attorney notifies the Court representing you, the attorney will make the appearance on your behalf, and the Court will conduct all business for the citation through the attorney. In occasional instances, Court documents may be sent to defendants before the Attorney Letter of Representation is entered in the Court records system, and, the Court will attempt to notify the representing Attorney of said correspondence.
